I first heard of Ines de la Fressange when I was reading one of my favorite books "All You Need to Be Impossibly French" back in high school. I was obsessed with French culture and the book featured quotes from French style icon de la Fressange. I never forgot her words of wisdom, this quote in particular stuck with me over the years, "You should always follow fashion a bit but don't forget your own style." When Uniqlo asked me to partner with them for the launch of their Spring collection with de la Fressange, I agreed without hesitation! I shopped at Uniqlo's SoHo location and fell in love with so many of the French chic yet understated pieces. For my first look I picked this blouse that reminded me of the ubiquitous grid paper used in French notebooks. I paired it with my signature bright red with a flowy ponte skirt from the collection and sweet bow heels. I had a blast shooting this look in the studio with Zach and channeling my inner French girl, but keeping it me just like de la Fressange taught me so many years ago.
