Hey everyone, it's Rachel! Today I did a shoot for the Trim Classic Barber Legendary Beauty in Nashville! My old manager at the Cosmetic Market, Hollie now works at Trim and when I went in for a haircut, she suggested doing a collaboration. I was thrilled about the idea! We brainstormed ideas for the video and landed on a Valentine's Day themed video about how to get a romantic blowout at home. I wore the dress that was the most popular in my "7 Valentine's Day Outfits" on YouTube.
Here is the video!
My hair hadn't been washed in days so it was the perfect before and after effect!

When Erik and I arrived at Trim, we were quickly offered complementary drinks! I got a cucumber water and Erik got an Earl Gray tea. We had a friend work as the videographer for the shoot. Trim is set up with two separate sections for men and women's services. The men's section has a retro barber shop feel with wood accents and maroon leather chairs. They even offer complementary shoe shines!
The women's side is set up like a retro beauty parlor, with pale pink walls and oversized photo-studio style lights, giving it a glamourous effect (not to mention, perfect for filming with!) The service is impeccable! Trim stylists have to undergo a two year apprenticeship at the salon to become full-time hairdressers, so the quality of the work is incredible. They use Kevin Murphy products, which I love. I was introduced to KM at the Cosmetic Market, and I love their Paraben-Free and Sulfate free shampoos and conditioners! They also give a complementary scalp massage with every service, which is heavenly.
See the before and afters for Erik and I after the break!
Natural hair texture, unwashed
I love how silky the hair looks with volume and movement throughout the body!

Erik was super helpful and edited the video for me, adding music and cutting in Final Cut Pro! What a great Valentine. We had such a fun time going through the footage, especially picking clips for the behind the scenes footage. I was also so grateful that Danny Malone let us use his music for the video as well. I think getting salon services every year for Valentine's Day would be a good tradition! Check out the video here!
